MARAFA CENTRE FOR DISABLED CHILDREN :

Referring to our special call (newsletter december 2011), we still need a few contributions.

Please remember that one year boarding fee for one child is only 110 € (less than 10 € per month!!!).

You can contribute in sending 110 €, or a monthly payment, to the RYW bank account (see details in chapter 'contact'.

Our aim is to enable the poor, disabled and less privileged children of the Malindi District in Kenya, East Africa, to access some of basic human needs such as health care services, educational and skilled training support with a motive of making the recipients become dynamic and resourceful persons who can be able to lead better self reliant lives. 

 Our objectives are:

• To mobilise resources from able persons, organisations, clubs, government authorities, well-wishers, willing individuals and donor bodies to support the association projects.
• To solicit funds, material and o ther resources and distribute them free of charge, such materials include food, medical supplies, clothing, equipment for school and orphanages, and o ther necessities and essential consumables, to the needy children.
• Advocate for the needy children with an aim of uplifting their plight. Support the Government of Kenya and any other Organisation(s) with similar objectives to achieve their targets by facilitating and co-ordinating their aims to the grassroots level.
• To fight towards alleviating HIV/AIDS scourge and drug abuse with particular attention to the devastating effects among children. Prepare and co-ordinate awareness campaigns, distribute anti-retroviral drugs to the needy children.
• To provide free education for needy and vulnerable children who would otherwise receive no education whatsoever as their families as so poor that they cannot meet the cost of school fees, uniforms, books etc.
